Our Cliffe House Pudsey setting opened in January 2020 and has been under going  a full renovation!

We have had some wonderful feedback from our families so far when nursery re-opened on Monday. There are still a few areas to finish but it is hugely different to what it was before.

We want the nursery to have a very open, airy, light and natural feel about it really embracing the children’s interests in loose parts and explorative play and we feel we have really captured that through the new room layouts and exciting new resources for the children to enjoy.

Cliffe House Baildon are really lucky to have an extensive outdoor area and over the weekend our nursery manager, Hazel, added some new bark to the garden to enhance it even further.

In the next coming weeks she is also going to add different textures with pebbles for the children to explore new and exciting environments even more. Outdoor play is a really crucial element of any child’s learning and providing different experiences for children outside can really develop their confidence, knowledge of nature and the World around them and keep them fit and healthy too!

We are so pleased to welcome our children back to nursery due to the government allowing wider re-opening of childcare settings from the 1st of June.

Many of our Cliffe House settings have now re-opened and we are thrilled to welcome our families back. Our Shipley setting is due to re-open in July.

The daily routine at nursery maybe a little different to what we were used to prior to lockdown but so far everything has been working really well with the smaller bubble groups and the children are so excited to come back which is the main thing. All our current families should have received our Site Operating Procedure which outlines the current daily routine. This will be updated as and when new government updates are issued.

We want to applaud our amazing staff team at our Horsforth Featherbank setting that remains OPEN throughout the partial educational closures to offer care to all our key worker families during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Without our dedicated nursery nurses, nursery nurses across the country and all educational workers, we wouldn’t be able to support the amazing job all key workers are doing to help fight against Covid-19 so it was really important we could help our families during this time.

Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the government announced that on the 20th of March 2020, all educational settings were to close until further notice apart from the care of key worker and vulnerable children. Across all our 7 settings and our Out of School club at Horsforth Featherbank, we asked all our parents if they fell into the key worker category. The numbers at 6 of our settings in the related categories were extremely low and therefore they all remain partially closed until the educational closures are lifted. We will therefore continue to follow the government guidelines in relation to this and they will reopen again as soon as the government advise to do so.

Our Horsforth Featherbank setting will however remain OPEN throughput the partial closure to provide care for all our key worker families and any children in the vulnerable category. If you cannot access the key worker care you need at this time; please contact our Horsforth Featherbank setting on 0113 3452850.

The children across all our Cliffe House settings have been really enjoying lots of creative art recently. It is so lovely to see how the children really engage and become inspired by the activities they explore at nursery. They often enjoy carrying on similar activities at home and share them with their key worker for their learning journeys which is so lovely to see. We are one of few settings that haven’t gone down the E learning journey route as we love the children and their parents to get a hard copy of their development throughout their time with us and its such a lovely thing to keep forever and look back over for many years to come.

The children love learning about different celebrations involved in different faiths and cultures around the World. This week across all our Cliffe House settings the children have loved exploring activities related to Shrove Tuesday and the significance of it. We also got to enjoy lots of yummy pancakes too!

Cliffe House Day Nurseries are thrilled to announce a new nursery has joined our family team of nursery settings from January 2020!

Cliffe House Pudsey is the 8th setting to join our group (formally Prospect House, Richardshaw Lane). The nursery will undergo extensive renovations both inside and out over the forth coming months but we are really excited to see the changes take place and to welcome all the current families to Cliffe House and any new families joining us soon too.
