This December across all our seven nurseries we have been supporting the Trussel Trust by asking our families and staff members to bring in various non perishable items to support our local Trussel food banks.

We have been overwhelmed with the support and donations we have received – what a difference they will make to local families that may need a little extra support this December.

What an exciting time of year it is and the children at all our Cliffe House nurseries have loved creating wonderful winter activities with their nursery teachers for themselves and their friends to enjoy.

It is a really important time of year too to explore how children celebrate significant events throughout the year in different ways and how we can all enjoy and learn from them together.

This year has been an extremely difficult time for everyone and we are very lucky to have such dedicated, passionate and hard working staff members that have enabled all our Cliffe House settings to be open as usual these last few months to provide exceptional childcare for all our wonderful families.

Last week it was amazing for our Trinity nursery team to get a lovely surprise from Morrisons – a beautiful hamper of goodies was delivered by Sarah, their Community Champion who is spreading random acts of kindness to work places that have been working throughout covid.

Our staff were so thankful and touched to have received this recognition from the local community as we continue to care for their children.

A huge thank you to Morrisons for spreading Christmas joy!!

Across all our settings our children have really enjoyed engaging activities related to Children In need.

It’s so important to expose the children to how we can help others weather that be friends, family members or other families who may need a little extra support- especially this year too. Helping our children develop empathy for others from an early age will really help them be supportive throughout their life.

A big thank you to all our families who have kindly donated towards our Children In Need fundraising efforts – we have raised over £450 across all our Cliffe House settings.

Our Cliffe House Pudsey nursery has undergone a full renovation over the last few months and it looks so amazing that we want to share it with perspective new parents by holding an OPEN DAY!

The open day will be held on Saturday the 5th of December but all parents wanting to come to have a show around of the setting must book a time slot in advance due to covid procedures.

We have had a wonderful time celebrating our TOP 20 www.daynurseries.co.uk  award this week by having a special afternoon tea party on Wednesday to celebrate.

All the staff and children had a lovely day but it is down to all our wonderful staff teams continual hard work, passion and inspirational learning that we gained this award and a big thanks goes to our lovely families again for their lovely reviews too – some examples of these are below.

Shipley – ‘My son has attended Shipley Cliffe House since January 2018 and he has absolutely thrived. He is so happy and bursting with lots of stories about what he’s been doing/learning about and who he has been playing and interacting with. The staff are so nurturing. ‘

Bramhope – ‘I have recently relocated and putting my three-year-old in a new nursery during a global pandemic was a huge concern of mine. However, the manager and the team at Cliffe House Bramhope have been nothing but exceptional. My son loves going to nursery and is always really excited to tell me about his day. The team are always really professional whilst offering a warming and welcoming environment for both the child and parent. Nothing is too much trouble for any of them and I have nothing but good things to say about every single one of them. I am so pleased I found this nursery and I highly recommend it to anyone.’

Horsforth Featherbank – ‘My son went to Cliffe House Featherbank for three months during the pandemic lockdown.There was so much anxiety from COVID and my boy having to swap nurseries. The staff were so good at alleviating these anxieties. My son settled in straight away, became so fond of all the staff and seemed to come on leaps and bounds during the short time he was there for. It is all credit to the wonderful team there that are at Cliffe House and I would recommend to anyone.’

Across all our seven nursery settings, we have such amazing staff teams and due to their fantastic hard work and the wonderful reviews we have got from our nursery families, we have gained this award which is a wonderful achievement, especially at this time of such unprecedented circumstances due to covid-19.

A huge THANK YOU goes to all our Cliffe House teams as well as our wonderful families for their continual lovely reviews and support.

It is really super to have nearly all our children back at nursery now and the children have been coming to nursery each day with some really fantastic new interests which we have then incorporated into exciting activities.

We have ben very lucky to have had Andrew from Ross School Photography visiting our settings after hours to create the tours so parents can view us from their comfort of their home. We are still carrying out show arounds at nursery too, these are carried out before and after nursery opening times – please contact any of our nursery managers to do this but the virtual tours allow you to get a really good feel of our nurseries too.

Baildon – Bramhope- Horsforth Featherbank – Shipley and Burley-In-Wharfedale now all have their own virtual tour on our ‘Nurseries’ section of the website and Horsforth Trinity and Pudsey will soon have their own too so watch this space!!

Our Horsforth Trinity pre-school children have been based at our Horsforth Featherbank Out of School Club site until the University gave the go ahead for our nursery on the Trinity campus to re-open.

We are thrilled that Monday the 17th of August was the first day back for all our children and it was a really lovely first day. The children were so confident and happy coming in to nursery which was great to see after such a long time off for some of the them. They had a fun filled day exploring all the nursery resources again and really enjoyed creative activities outside too.
