Our lovely setting in Bramhope is run by Jayne and Vida who do a fantastic job with the children and judging by their latest updates they have been keeping all the children very each week busy with lots of lots exciting activities : -
Each week they have tennis and rugby lessons with qualified coaches
Baking lots of lovely goodies
Practicing their writing skills
Celebrating world book day
Exploring ICT games and activities
Had a very exciting visit from Zoo lab to learn about bugs and mini beasts which is their current topic work
Taking advantage of Spring time by planting seeds and exploring the mud kitchen
Learning all about butterfly symmetry and using mirrors
Plus they have set up an experiment to support the NDNAs topic ‘Healthy body, Happy me’, which starts w/b 18th April. All of the children are attempting to grow bacteria on slices of bread! One slice of bread has been handled by very dirty hands, one which has been handled by hands washed in water only and the third has been handled by hands which have been washed in warm, soapy water. Everyone is avidly watching and waiting to see what develops and link this to the importance of good hand washing
All of the activities sound like great fun which is the best way to learn …… through play !
